Favorite Music: I listen to almost anything, ranging from indie rock to hip-hop, depending on what kind of mood I’m in. Favorite Books: I’m not proud of it, but I rarely read anything that isn’t published on the internet or written in panels. I’m looking to change this though, so if you want to recommend some good reading material, feel free.
Favorite TV Shows: I rarely watch TV, mainly because I can’t stand sitting through the endless advertising and mindless censorship, so my TV viewing is pretty much limited to older material I pick up on DVD. That said, I love anything created by Joss Whedon (Angel, Buffy, Firefly), I really enjoyed Six Feet Under and have a soft spot for teen dramas such as the O.C, Dawson’s Creek and Felicity.
Favorite Films: I am a major Star Wars geek, I love Kevin Smith movies, I love horror movies, especially zombie movies (George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, also Shaun of the Dead, Evil Dead, Brain Dead, anything with dead in the title). I grew up on films like Labyrinth and Return to Oz. I also love the Indiana Jones trilogy, the Alien, Aliens, Fight Club, Spider-Man 1 & 2, Lost in Translation, Pirates of the Caribbean, and lot’s of other films that fail to come to mind but are likely better if not equally as great as those that did.
Current Crushes: Keira Knightley, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Scarlet Johansson, Alyson Hannigan, Jewel Staite.
Vices: Coffee, alcohol, eBay and procrastination.
Heroes: I can’t say i have any. I’m a big fan of many people, none of whom id consider to be heroes. I guess the doctors who save lives? the people who cure diseases? the guy who maps out a planes flight path?
Into: Collecting, playing, living and breathing video games, listening to music, watching good movies and television, comics, technology, kubricks/be@rbricks, graphic design. Anything geeky really.
Most Humbling Moment: I don’t think there has been one truly humbling moment in my life. Life is constantly humbling, and has made sure I’ve stayed fairly level headed over the years with it’s constant beat downs.
5 Items I Cannot Live Without: I honestly believe i would die without my computer. It contains all my music and photos, is my strongest link to those around me and it provides me with endless entertainment via the crazy that is the internet. Id also rather not go without my iPod (despite its constant crashing). I need music everywhere i go. Everything else is optional. I barely even use my phone, it mostly just annoys me with calls id rather not receive.
Makes Me Happy: Stormy weather, especially when I’m in bed under the covers all warm and sleepy, discovering new music, movies and games and the geekish high i get when one of them truly impresses me, reading Ikea catalog’s, eating really good food, the smell of mandarins, roasted pine nuts and fresh coffee. Hot pancakes with ice cream, hot waffles covered in melted chocolate, my dog, my evil fluffy cat, beer, more beer, receiving parcels in the mail.
Makes Me Sad: Materialism, greed, poverty, animal cruelty and the fact that I am partly responsible for all four, but too selfish to do whatever little i can to make a difference. The memories of failed loves and lost friendships. Toys in the clearance bin at Toys R Us. Racist, homophobic, superficial people, and having to compromise my beliefs in the company of their ignorance. My apparent self-loathing, people who lack basic manners.
