Broken Vows

Thursday, August 30th, 2012

I completely failed my vow not to buy anything in August.

I actually ended up buying more this month than any other.

I imported some new lambs for my nightstands from France.

I looked at many options but fell in love with the MOB Lamp by SwabDesign.

As you can see they come in different colour options but I decided to keep it simple and stick with white/green.

The build quality is great and they look fantastic on my componibili three tier storage units which I’m using as nightstands.

I also decided to finally give in and purchase a modkat.

Again, another fantastic design, if you have a cat or are just curious how it works check out the video here.

I tried making my own using various plastic tubs / enclosed litter trays I owned already but the plastic either cracked when I tried to cut it or the shape of the enclosure was too slippery for my larger cat to jump up onto.

It was expensive, but if it means no more litter spread all over my apartment for the next fifteen years it will be worth it.

… and I picked up another Michael Latimer piece – “Beast”

I also found some cheap ready-made frames for two Jeremyville pieces I picked up years ago that had been sitting in tubes for far too long.

…and I picked up Dead Island for xbox 360

…and The Avengers on Blu Ray.

… and probably other items I can’t remember right now.

So yeah, complete and utter failure. I shall try again next month. Have faith.

Pixel Pour

A few years ago I posted a photograph I found in the wilds of the internet here on my blog of an awesome piece of pixel art found in New York.

Turns out a certain magazine credited me for the photograph and linked my website as the source both online and in print.

So to set the record straight, I DID NOT CREATE THIS, credit goes to Visit their website and check out all their talented work including more snaps of “Pixel Pour” and “Pixel Pour 2.0″
